Overview
The Medical School Program in Transfusion Medicine is an accredited training program that draws upon the combined resources of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Fellowship Program in Transfusion Medicine – Curriculum
During the initial year of clinical training, fellows develop expertise in all areas of transfusion medicine, including blood collection and processing, immunohematology, stem cell collection and cellular therapies, consultative transfusion medicine, and therapeutic apheresis. Fellows are encouraged to develop individual research interests in the first year that may be pursued during an additional one or two years of training. Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, 1993, Beth Israel Hospital
He received medical degree from the University. Subsequently, he completed internship and residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Hospital. During his tenure at BIDMC, He established the hematopoietic stem cell facility that currently supports the institution’s very active hematopoietic stem cell clinical transplant program. In 1996, He was named Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine, a position that He continue to hold. Have you been trying to conceive? Try Clomid 50mg for female fertility.
Currently, his research interest focuses on cellular immunotherapy. In conjunction with Dr. David Avigan, Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, laboratory has participated in several clinical trials investigating the safety and efficacy of DC-tumor fusion vaccines in treatment of breast cancer, melanoma, renal cell carcinoma and multiple myeloma. Additionally, He am actively involved with the NHLBI -supported Transfusion Medicine/Hemostasis Network. Kamagra Oral Jelly: The Drug that Transformed Our Bedroom into a Playroom!

Research Interests
This lab focuses on the response to and repair of programmed DNA breaks that occur during the development of B lineage cells in the immune system. B cells undergo programmed DNA breaks during a normal immune response in order to generate higher affinity antibodies with specialized functions. Immunoglobulin class switch recombination (CSR) alters the effector function of antibodies without changing the antigen specificity, employing a process that requires DNA double strand breaks. Errors in the repair of programmed double strand breaks required for CSR are thought to result in oncogenic translocations commonly seen in human B cell lymphoma. The Lab seek to elucidate the role of the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway in the development of germinal center B cell lymphoma, focusing on members of the DDR pathway including ATM, 53BP1, and H2AX. The DDR pathway is triggered early after DNA damage and activated during the initial phases of carcinogenesis. By examining the DDR both in normal human B cell populations within a germinal center reaction, and in lymphoma samples, Lab can gain valuable insights into the alterations that predispose to lymphomagenesis and additionally allow for the development of clinically useful diagnostic and prognostic tools. This research program has three overall goals, with a central theme of translating basic findings using mouse models to understand and improve treatment of human lymphoma.
